Wild Alaskan sockeye salmon (often called red salmon) is known for its rich flavor, firm texture, and deep red color. It is one of the most popular types of salmon consumed in the United States. Sockeye salmon spend their early lives in freshwater streams and lakes. After a few years, they migrate to the ocean where they mature and grow. After several years at sea, they return to their natal streams to spawn.

Wild sockeye salmon is truly a superfood -  prized for their high-quality meat, which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients. Omega-3 fatty acids are beneficial for heart health, brain health, and inflammation. Sockeye salmon is also a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals.

Kenai-Red Fish Company is a Community Supported Fishery (CSF) based in Portland OR with fishing and processing operations in Ninilchik, AK. We are a family-owned business working directly with small-boat family fishermen in Alaska. We provide sustainably harvested wild salmon direct from our fishermen to your table. Our sockeye is caught in the famous Cook Inlet, then processed, vacuum sealed and flash frozen at 40+ degrees below zero, usually within 12 hours.
