Here is how we raise our chickens - the way they want to be. Simple enough, right?

Do you ever ask yourself as you're putting a forkful of chicken into your mouth, “hmm, I wonder what the best way to raise a chicken is?”

We’ve been pondering that question for 10 years and here, in this chicken, is our answer.

Chickens want to be outside in the pasture. They like being in the sun on grass, chasing and eating bugs. So that’s what we provide them - they are raised in movable hoops on our pasture from the day they arrive here. 100% pasture raised.

Chickens want to eat fresh organic feed. Our chickens eat 100% organic feed. We work with our local feed mills to source most of the grains locally. Our feed is a radically traditional and simple wheat and peas recipe (NO CORN, NO SOY!). It’s better for the birds and the environment. 

• Organic means that there are no GMOs, no pesticides, and no herbicides involved.
• Organic means that we focus on our birds' natural health, not creating “health” with drugs.
• Organic means our birds have access to ACRES of pasture.

Chickens should be raised by family farms, not corporate giants. We’ve been here since 1960 and the 4th generation is out here loving life. Since the 1980s, we’ve been organic and regenerative (although we didn’t call it that back then).

We do all this not because it is the cheapest or fastest or easiest way to grow chickens.

Note: This item is a random weight item, prices vary. The price on your invoice may be higher. What is a random weight item? Random weights are calculated by the base weight of this product. If this product is 3-4 pounds, the base weight is 3 pounds. 

MRNA Vaccine Statement: Our priority is to raise chickens so that they live their best life - For us, that means that part of our protocol is using vaccines -  which allows us to avoid potential health issues in our birds that would degrade their quality of life.

We do not use any mRNA vaccines and have no plans to. It is important also to note that vaccines with mRNA technology do not currently exist for poultry.

The poultry industry is regulated by the USDA which has strict guidelines for vaccines. Only dead virus vaccines are allowed to be used and are just for the most common poultry viruses.

We use the least amount of vaccines possible while still ensuring our chickens live a stress-free life while under our care.
