We are excited to offer this heirloom pumpkin variety that produces large, delicious, hulless pumpkin seeds! Now you can raise your own nutritious pumpkin seeds without having to shell them all out first!

Styrian pumpkins are raised for their protein-rich seeds, which can be eaten raw, roasted, or pressed for oil. They come from the Styrian area of Austria. The plants are prolific and fast growing. The pumpkins start out green and get orange stripes as they mature. After curing for approx. 2 weeks, the seeds can be scooped out, separated from the pulp, washed, and then dried on a food dehydrator. The flesh isn’t quite as flavorful as squash, but is still pretty tasty as an addition to meals or made into pumpkin pie. Livestock love it if you don’t!
