When Tractor Beverage Co. founder and farmer Travis Potter was a young farmer, he became determined to learn how his family could make a decent living in today's commodity-based agriculture system. He sought advice on the best ways to ranch and farm from the most successful farmers around. As he spent time with them he realized that farmers had a lot of health problems, as did many of Travis’ own loved ones. He also witnessed that the few farmers he spoke to who were farming without chemicals seemed happier, healthier and more profitable. The conclusion was clear to him - poor health and disease are a direct result of the chemicals used on crops. From that point on he made his farm and his home, with all 11 of his children in it, a chemical free environment. While brainstorming how he could help consumers world-wide go chemical free for better health, it suddenly hit him that great meals are usually paired with chemical-ridden drinks. That’s where he could make a difference and that’s how Tractor Beverage Co. was born. Tractor’s drinks are made with organic ingredients and contain zero chemicals and artificial nothing. Travis travels the world seeking innovative ways to improve his products, bringing knowledge back to the farm in order to craft new, unique Tractor flavors. As a sustainably minded farmer, Travis tracks metrics on carbon emissions, water saved, organic land supported, improved soil health, and synthetic pesticides avoided. To him, organic is not simply avoiding synthetic pesticides, but fostering biodiversity, protecting water, and enriching the land. Tractor is farmer founded and employee owned and their fountain drinks can be found in 500 restaurants all across the US.
