Chanterelles (Cantharellus Cibarius) grow wild in the forests of the U.S., Europe and Asia, and are one of the most beautiful mushrooms in the forest. With its bright golden color, they can be seen from a distance against the backdrop of autumn color. Chanterelle mushrooms are also known as Golden Chanterelle or Egg Mushroom. They are sought after by culinary experts all around the globe for their appealing fruity fragrance and wonderful taste.

These mushrooms are harvested from their natural environment in the forests of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. They are cleaned, sliced and naturally air-dried, and no chemicals or pesticides are used in the process. They have a fruity aroma and an earthy flavor that will add wonders to your cooking.

Try them in omelets, sauces, stuffings, gravies or sautéed with garlic and white wine on top of your favorite meats.

Tip: 1-oz of dried mushrooms is equal to about 8-oz of fresh.

Remember to store your dried mushrooms in the freezer. They will keep their flavor, color, and last indefinitely.

All mushrooms contain substantial nutrients, including protein, enzymes, B vitamins (especially niacin), and vitamin D2. Mushrooms are excellent sources of antioxidants as they contain polyphenols and selenium, which are common in the plant world. But they also contain antioxidants that are unique to mushrooms, such as ergothioneine, which scientists are now beginning to recognize as a 'master antioxidant.'
