Lugol's Solution of Iodine 2%

We make no claims in order to avoid regulatory concerns which have not otherwise tested Lugol’s solution for specific conditions or uses. Lugol’s has been widely recognized as a traditional and metabolic disinfectant for almost 200 years.

J.Crow’s Lugol’s solution is made from elemental iodine and potassium iodide in distilled water. It is equivalent to USP or higher and of the highest purity and the very same type and quality a doctor may recommend when prescribing iodine (Which only a doctor may do). The iodine and potassium iodide used in J. Crow’s Lugol’s solution is derived from natural salt brine deposits 2 miles beneath the surface, in the Western United States, one of the few places in the world where such deposits exist. It is compounded and manufactured in a registered EPA manufacturing facility which produces numerous USP certified bulk products according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Lugol’s has been in continuous use since 1829. As a unique chemical mixture, it has a wide range of diverse applications, many of which are non-medical or supplemental; water purification, general purpose disinfectant (Within a number of different industries), chemical reagent, etc. to name a few.

While the history and usefulness of iodine is well known and while Dr. Jarvis understood the benefits of its many diverse applications (as few others do today), we make no claims with respect to its efficacy for any purpose whatsoever.

Calculating Number of MG's of Iodine and Iodide per Drop of LUGOL'S 2%: Each VERTICAL "metric" drop (= 1/20 ml) is approximately 1.0 mg of iodine and 2.0 mg of potassium iodide. The Iodide portion of Potassium Iodide is about 75% so that is 1.5 mg. Therefore the total Iodine plus Iodide is 1.0 + 1.5 = 2.5 mg  and 2 drops is about 5.0 mg's of iodine/iodide (2.0 mg iodine, 3.0 mg iodide). Compared to iodine and potassium iodide tablets, J.CROW'S® Lugol's Solution offers big savings.

Approximately 1200 vertical drops per 2 oz. container. To use as a water purifier add 3-6 drops per liter of water.

Made from premium ingredients, the iodine used in J.CROW'S® Lugol's Solution is derived from mined crystals from 320 million year old natural brine deposits two miles beneath the earth's surface in Western USA (one of the few places in the world where such deposits exist).
