Long Island Brussel Sprouts, Organic

100 days. This relative to the cabbage is harvested for the "sprouts"  that grow up a central stalk. They are harvested when they reach a good size but before they burst. They are sweetest after a light frost. They love rich soil, good moisture and a cooler climate. (For those with a warm summer they are sweetest grown as a fall crop). An heriloom since the 1890's.  Produces heavy yields.

Ellie’s Eden does not credit plants that die after being placed in the ground.

Please note that these plants have been on a truck and in a dark box before reaching you, so we encourage you to open the boxes and harden the plants off before placing in the garden. (Let them get some weather slowly before putting them out in the elements.)
