Juniper Berries, Whole, Organic

Juniper berries are probably best known for flavoring gin, but they have many other culinary and health uses. These whole berries have a strong flavor that reminds us of pine with a hint of citrus, which complements the flavors of pork, beef, venison, and duck. Try juniper berries in hearty stews, soups, sauces, marinades, and rubs. 

 

Or prepare as a healthful tea, adding 1/2 tsp. juniper berries to 1 c. water in a pot. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, strain, and serve immediately.
