Horse Supplement Pellets, Organic

This pellet is an organic alternative to the conventional “ration balancer” that supplies the important nutrients that could be low or missing in a diet of only forage or forage and oats. Specifically formulated to have a low recommended feeding rate, when fed with forage, it will meet the horse’s needs for protein, vitamins and minerals but add very few additional calories. It can be an excellent addition to a forage-only diet or it combines well with organic oats for horses that need more calories than a forage-only diet can supply.

Modesto Milling was established in 1974 as a Dairymen's Cooperative. In 1997, they started manufacturing organic dairy grain mixes. By January 1998, Modesto Milling gained its organic certification from Oregon Tilth and officially became the first organic grain processor in Central California. Modesto Milling processed conventional and organic feed until August of 2007, when the Board of Directors voted to convert the mill's manufacturing to 100% organic feed.
