Fenugreek seed has been used in India for centuries and is renowned for its health benefits, which include lactation, immune support, digestion, and balance of both mind and body. It is also used topically for soft, supple skin and to encourage hair growth. Its strong, somewhat bitter, yet nutty and sweet flavor is essential in curries, pickles, soups, dal, and vegetable dishes. It is especially valued in Indian cuisine.
