They have a smooth, flat knit with full cushion throughout, and a below-ankle height that stays in place via an ankle tab around the back. And talk about all-day comfort! These babies even have a no-feel toe seam. So go on and work that overtime shift – your feet are good with it!

About Maggie’s Organics:
You know how every now and then you hear about some super benevolent, upstanding human who just does right by everyone and everything in the above and beyond kind of way? Well, then you can add the owner of Maggie’s Organics, Bená Burda, to the list. I can tell you how Maggie’s has designed their entire organic cotton production process to have the highest commitment to the environment by reducing carbon emissions, waste, and pesticide residues while relying on ethical regenerative farming practices and donating a portion of their sales to environmental causes. Or I can tell you how they ensure the highest quality by having earned the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification, which holds very stringent ecological and social criteria. But even with all those accolades, the most striking thing about Maggie’s is the way they treat people with the utmost dignity. Maggie’s supports their employees, their suppliers and the surrounding communities where each resides through scholarships, internships, training, and better access to recycling services. They provide farmers early down payments to help with costs before the harvest. In Tanzania they work with the bioRe Foundation, helping cotton farmers and funding community projects. Maggie’s also puts emphasis on creating U.S. jobs. They employ family knitters and fabric dyers in North Carolina. They are members of both the Fair Trade Federation and the World Fair Trade Organization and as Bená is now retiring, she is working with Teamshares to slowly transition Maggie’s to an employee owned company with eventual 80% stock ownership to all employees. It’s good to see a company that also prioritizes people in addition to high quality products and sustainable environmental practices.
