About Diane Devereaux:

Diane Devereaux is an expert in home canning and food preservation with 30 years experience. She began canning at age 13 with family and friends, and by 15 she had her own garden. She was educated in culinary math, foodborne pathogens, and food safety at SECCHIA Institute of Culinary Education. She teaches home canning across the globe and tries to quell the fears that many people have of canning. Diane is not only an expert but a true innovator in the field. She continually creates new canning recipes and techniques that are tested by an independent US-based lab. At one point in Diane’s life, she had a successful career in disaster management, where she was able to utilize her knowledge of food preservation, survival, and sustainability. Today she uses her background in disaster management coupled with her canning and food preservation expertise to manage her web business The Canning Diva, which is focused on all things gardening, preserving, preparedness, and self-reliance.
