Sweet, juicy, and beautifully diverse, Azure Husbandry Fresh Organic Plums are a celebration of the late-summer and early-fall harvest. Grown organically with care in Azure’s own orchards, our plums come in a wonderful range of colors, flavors, and textures that change as the season progresses.

 

Azure grows seven different varieties of plums, harvested at different times from late summer through early fall. Depending on what is ripe and available when your order is filled, the plums you receive may be any one of the varieties being harvested at that time. This seasonal selection allows us to share our orchard fruit when each variety is ready to be enjoyed.

 

Our plum harvest offers a rainbow of beautiful jewel-toned fruit. Early Italian plums, with their rich purple coloring, and bright Shiro plums, known for their golden-yellow color, are among the first varieties harvested. As the season continues, other varieties may include President, Santa Rosa, and Italian plums, along with additional varieties grown in our orchards.

 

Each variety brings its own special character—from differences in color and size to sweetness, tartness, texture, and flavor. Because availability follows the natural rhythm of the harvest, the variety pictured may not be the exact variety included with your order.

 

Enjoy these organic plums fresh out of hand, sliced into yogurt or oatmeal, added to salads, or paired with cheese. They’re also wonderful for baking, sauces, jams, preserves, drying, and other recipes that capture the flavors of the harvest for later enjoyment.
