Finale Fennel Seed, Organic

This fragrant heirloom fennel is slow to bolt and produces large, uniform, 4" bulbs that are crisp and juicy.  The plants grow tall and bush out with gorgeous green fern that smells and tastes like anise.  The fern can be added fresh to salads and salad dressing or dried for future use.  The bulbs can be eaten raw, sautéed, roasted, or even added to soups and sauces.  For optimal flavor, harvest the bulbs when they reach about 4" in width, before they produce a central seed stalk.  Open pollinated.
