The ears have a thick, well-wrapped husk on them, which tends to resist it from huskworms. The plants are slightly shorter than most varieties, but a high early producer. This corn was developed by Jonathan Spero here in Oregon and is part of the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). Probably one of the sweetest open-pollinated corn you will find.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\r\n\tThe organic seeds that come from the farm in Dufur, Ore., have been harvested from the fruits, vegetables and flowers that continue to thrive every spring and summer in the valley below Mount Hood.
